Where can I purchase Showcase of Homes tickets?
Tickets are sold at every showcase home so you can buy your tickets at the door of the first house you visit. There are also various other locations to purchase tickets listed on the Purchase Tickets page of this website. Additionally, they can be purchased online at the Purchase Ticket page on this website. Please note each tickets purchased online will have a $2.00 processing fee. Tickets are $25 each; Children under 12 are free.
Can I go back to the same house more than once and how long are the tickets good for?
The Showcase of Homes ticket gives you access to all of the homes for the two weekends – 4 days for an unlimited number of visits. The homes are open from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on the weekends of October 4-5 and October 11-12.
Where do I start the tour? Is there a certain route I have to follow?
You may visit the homes in any order you prefer however, we have provided an efficient and sequential route on the ticket. There is also a mobile Google Map on the website.
Where do I find the map and directions to the homes?
Use the QR code on the ticket for the most accurate and current directions. These directions are also on our website and Google Maps. Your car or phone GPS can be used but keep in mind that a few of the home addresses are newly constructed and therefore may not yet be obtainable on GPS. We have placed bright orange directional signs along the way to help with your self-guided tour.
Can I take photos of the homes?
Yes, unless specifically prohibited by the builder.
What’s with the Showcase of Homes tote bag?
Each ticket holder receives one FREE tote bag at their first home visit while supply lasts. It’s intended to be used as a shoe bag as you tour the homes. Showcase builders ask that you take off your shoes while inside the homes and walk in bare feet or nonslip stockings. You can place your shoes in the tote bag upon entering the home and put them back on when you leave.
How do I vote for the People’s Choice awards and register for the prize drawings?
Your ticket includes a People’s Choice ballot which allows you to vote for your favorite showcase home in four categories – Classic, Executive, Luxury and Estate. The homes are clearly numbered for easy identification. Ballot boxes are located in every home where you can drop off your completed ballot to be counted and entered into the prize drawings. You must visit at least 9 homes to be eligible for the drawings. Drawings will take place after the event is over. You may vote for only one home per category. Please double-check that you are voting for the correct home in the correct category. If your vote is listed under the wrong category, it will not be counted.
What if I have questions about the home design, flooring, fixtures, paint colors, price, etc.?
The homes are staffed with the builders along with their suppliers and representatives to assist you and answer all your questions.
Are children allowed on the Showcase tour?
Yes. Children under 12 are free and must be accompanied by an adult during the tour.
Are there restrooms available at the Showcase locations?
No.
Are pets allowed on the showcase tour?
We love our furry friends but pets are not allowed on the tour. Of course, service dogs are always welcome.
Are food and beverages allowed in the homes?
Food and beverages are not allowed in Showcase homes and smoking is prohibited.
Where does the money from the event go?
The net proceeds from this annual event go to Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren & Washington Counties. Over the past 28 years, the Saratoga Builders Association has donated over $1.6 million dollars to these two local charities from this Showcase of Homes event. All the volunteers and greeters at the homes are associated with these two organizations.
